By accessing or using InstantSplit, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.
2. Description of Service
InstantSplit is a free, web-based utility designed for splitting group expenses. The tool requires no login or registration. It stores data locally in your browser (LocalStorage) and allows sharing via custom links (encoded in Base64 or synced via our API).
3. Acceptable Use & Responsibility
You are solely responsible for any data you enter into InstantSplit. You agree not to enter illegal, offensive, or copyrighted materials. Furthermore, because we do not require accounts, you are responsible for keeping your trip sharing links safe. Anyone with access to your trip link can view and edit the expenses in that trip.
4. Service Availability & Modifications
We provide InstantSplit as a free utility. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We are not liable for any lost data resulting from browser clearing, local database resets, or server downtime.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE FREE OF ERRORS, BUGS, OR INTERRUPTIONS.
6. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL INSTANTSPLIT OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
